SSICON Student Sustainable Innovation Annual Meeting Driving Collaboration between Industry, Government, and Academia for the Establishment of a Sustainable Talent Incubation Platform.

The first student-initiated sustainability conference, "SSICON Student Sustainable Innovation Conference," was held on 8th July 2023. The conference focused on sustainable talent incubation and involved the collaboration of over 18 student communities and social entrepreneurship organizations. The student-led event, initiated by 21 university students from 14 schools, holds significant importance in Taiwan and attracted over 300 young online and offline participants. VickyHsueh, Chief Human Resources Officer, believes that "it is not theories that inspire people to change, but the process of finding practical actions to act."

The conference also invited esteemed guests such as NTU Honorary Professor JiRenLee, the Headmaster of School28, Associate Dean Shenglin, ElijahChang of NTU D School, Associate Director JeffHou from KPMG IMPACT & ESG Advisor, and AaronLiu, the Deputy CEO of STI Sustainable Talent Incubator, to share their insights on sustainable and social innovation. The afternoon sessions featured presentations from young student teams, including Warm Sunshine, focusing on issues related to sexual violence and advocating for the care and acceptance of survivors through establishing NGOs and market activities.

Sustainable Carnival Interaction

The event's objective was to raise awareness and garner more attention for sustainable development issues, encourage support for young people to learn and practice sustainability competencies, and believe that everyone can participate in the journey of sustainable development through small yet impactful actions.
