Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its fifth flagship fund, Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V), announced on the 17th that the Fengmiao Phase 1 Offshore Wind Farm has officially signed a CPPA with MediaTek. This partnership further demonstrates the viability of Taiwan's Phase 3 Zonal Development model through concrete action.

Thomas Wibe Poulsen, Asia-Pacific Regional Partner at CIP and Chairman of the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm, stated that MediaTek, as a global leader in innovative IC design, continues to make significant strides toward environmental sustainability. The Fengmiao Phase 1 project is honored to support clients who share our vision for sustainable development by providing a stable supply of green electricity, thereby enhancing the global competitiveness of Taiwanese enterprises. The Fengmiao Phase 1 project continues to lead its peers in development progress and has garnered strong support from both domestic and international financing markets. With financial close imminent, this milestone reflects the collective confidence of the supply chain, banking institutions, power purchasers, and government stakeholders in the project's timely grid connection.

MediaTek stated that it has always been committed to balancing corporate growth with environmental sustainability. The signing of the CPPA with the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm represents a significant milestone on its path toward achieving net-zero emissions. Moving forward, MediaTek will collaborate with the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm to fulfill its global environmental responsibilities. In addition, MediaTek intends to leverage its influence within the industry and its corporate group to encourage partners across its supply chain to advance the use of green energy. These collective efforts aim to achieve the company's goal of 100% renewable energy usage across its global offices by 2030 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, thereby fulfilling its commitment to global environmental sustainability.

The Fengmiao Phase 1 Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 35 kilometers off the coast of Taichung City. The project plans to install 33 wind turbine generators, with a total installed capacity of 500 MW. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, its primary mission is to provide a stable supply of green electricity.
