As the global energy transition accelerates, Taiwan is actively developing its blue industry, while addressing key challenges in energy autonomy, supply chain resilience, and maritime security. In President Lai Ching-te's inaugural address, he outlined Taiwan's national vision to "Explore the Ocean," emphasizing that Taiwan is a maritime nation.

He stated that Taiwan's future direction will focus on "advancing into space, exploring the ocean, and engaging globally." This vision reflects the government's forward-looking approach to ocean technology, energy innovation, industrial development, and maritime security — and underscores the shared goal of building a sustainable and resilient future through joint efforts between the public and private sectors.

The Taiwan Maritime Engineering Influence Forum is co-hosted by the National Marine Engineering Association (NMEA), the Kaohsiung Maritime Engineering Association (KMEA), the Taichung Marine Construction Association (TMCA), and the Taiwan Wind Energy Association (TwnWEA), with the co-organization of the British Office Taipei, the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan- Low Carbon Initiative (ECCT LCI), and the Belgian Office Taipei.

With the overarching themes of "Blue Economy and Energy Resilience" and "Strengthening Blue Industry Development," the forum aims to promote cross-sector dialogue on energy autonomy, supply chain resilience, and ocean governance.

A special highlight of the event will be a guided visit to "Green Jade," the multipurpose heavy-lift vessel built by CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE), showcasing Taiwan's growing capabilities and achievements in maritime engineering.

The forum welcomes participants from government agencies, maritime engineering companies, research institutes, and related professionals to exchange insights and share expertise that will drive the future of Taiwan's maritime engineering industry.
