The 21st Joint Business Conference of MNCCI and CIECA Successfully Held in Mongolia to Explores New Opportunities

The Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) led a 25-member trade delegation to Ulaanbaatar from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2 for the 2026 Taiwan-Mongolia Economic and Trade Mission. Led by the Chair of CIECA, Hsin (Carol) Cheng, the delegation brought together representatives from Taiwan's biotechnology and healthcare, technology, tourism and related industries. In cooperation with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), the delegation also held the "The 21st Joint Business Conference of MNCCI and CIECA" to strengthen bilateral economic ties through business exchanges, company visits and matchmaking.

Hsin (Carol) Cheng delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the joint meeting on September 1st, said she hoped the bilateral business platform would further deepen economic, investment and industrial exchanges and establish a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership. Representatives from Taiwan's Representative Office in Mongolia, MNCCI, Mongolia's Foreign Investment and Trade Agency and the business community also attended. The meeting focused on technology, biotechnology and healthcare, and tourism, with participants examining opportunities to combine Taiwan's technological strengths with Mongolia's market potential and expand cooperation in investment and supply chains.

The delegation also visited Mongolian government agencies and leading companies to gain a deeper understanding of the country's industrial development, investment environment and market demand. One-on-one business meetings further enabled Taiwanese and Mongolian companies to discuss market expansion, technology partnerships, investment opportunities and supply-chain cooperation, with both sides expressing strong interest in developing long-term partnerships.

CIECA said Mongolia's efforts to diversify its economy and attract foreign investment have created growing market potential. It will continue using bilateral economic meetings, trade missions and business matchmaking to help Taiwanese companies expand into Mongolia and Central Asia, strengthen Taiwan-Mongolia economic ties, and develop further opportunities for investment and industrial cooperation.
