Shinfox Energy announced that the "SFE Hercules," a 4,000-ton heavy lift vessel built by its Singapore-based subsidiary Shinfox Far East Company, successfully arrived in Taiwan on June 21. A commencement and blessing ceremony for TPC II maritime construction was held on June 22 at Taichung Port. The vessel is set to begin offshore wind power marine engineering operations, including the installation of pin piles, jacket foundations, wind turbine blades, and towers.
Distinguished guests attending the ceremony included Yao-Ting Wang, General Manager of the Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), Deputy General Manager Tian-He Guo, and Director Ping-Gui Wang; Ren-Rong Zhang, General Manager of DNV GL Taiwan; Executive Vice President Shi-Jie Yan, and Deputy General Manager Min-Zheng Li; Sinotech Engineering Consultants Vice President Zong-Bang Chen, General Manager of Honghua Group; Murakami Shuichiro; General Manager of The Chugoku Electric Power; Hui-Sen Hu; General Manager of Shinfox Energy; Sheng-Wei Gu; Vice General Manager of Foxwell Energy; and William Zhu (Yan-Ping), Representative from Shinfox Far East Company (SFE).
Shinfox Energy stated that this maritime project commencement marks the most significant engineering milestone of the year. It signifies the first offshore wind farm exclusively undertaken by a local enterprise entering the substantive maritime engineering construction phase. With an installed capacity of 294.5 MW, the TPCII project will provide 1 billion kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 240,000 households, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 500,000 tons per year, setting a new milestone for the national offshore wind power team.

Tai-Chiang Guo, Chairman of Shinfox Energy, emphasized that in line with the national energy transition and offshore wind power localization policy objectives, Shinfox Energy is actively playing a crucial role in the development of the offshore wind power industry. Foxwell Energy was awarded the contract on June 15, 2020, to undertake the Taipower Phase II offshore wind power turnkey project, aiming to cultivate more outstanding Taiwanese talents and build a locally self-sufficient operation and maintenance team.
The Taipower Phase II project is the sole project in Taiwan where both the "owner" and "contractor" are local Taiwanese companies. On April 10 this year, Shinfox Energy once again teamed up with Foxwell Energy to participate in the bidding for the offshore wind power zonal development.
With the global offshore wind power market growing rapidly and maritime engineering vessels in short supply, Shinfox established the Singapore-based Shinfox Far East Company Company at the end of 2022, investing in the construction of the "SFE Hercules." The vessel, with a total length of 200.8 meters, a width of 48 meters, a lifting capacity of 4,000 tons, and equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system, along with the support vessel "Pioneer," which has also arrived in Taiwan, officially commencing the Taipower Phase II maritime engineering project.
