|Colorado Announces $7.7 Million Grant Awards for 35 Geothermal Projects
Colorado Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Energy Office have announced $7.7 million in grant awards through the Geothermal Energy Grant Program for 35 innovative geothermal projects in the state. The list of projects cover a wide range of geothermal applications with the grants divided as such: Single-structure geothermal heat pump installations – $947,000;Interconnected thermal energy networks between buildings – $3.57 million;Geothermal electricity generation – $3.22 million. Awardees are expected to invest more than $100 million into the awarded projects to leverage the state investment.

|European Commission Approves €1.4bn in Funding for Hydrogen Transportation
The European Commission has approved the fourth Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) designed to support the development of 13 projects in seven countries. In its latest round, Hy2Move will be provided with up to €1.4bn ($1.52bn) in public funding from the participating Member States, which include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Estonia, the Netherlands and Slovakia. H2 View understands this could leverage another €3.3bn in additional private funding.

|Chiayi City Enacts Net-Zero Emissions Ordinance Pioneers Zero Emission School Drop-Off Zones
On the 28th, the Chiayi City Council passed the third reading of the "Chiayi City Net-Zero Emissions Sustainable Management Self-Governance Ordinance" and took the lead among other cities in Taiwan in introducing zero-emission drop-off zones for schools, planning to establish these zones in elementary and junior high schools. Chiayi City has become the first non-municipality to incorporate the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 into its local self-governance regulations, establishing a foundation for net-zero governance and taking a significant step toward becoming a sustainable city.
