Avilon X MSI Revolutionize Smart Warehousing

Taiwan's leading drone brand, Avilon, has partnered with MSI (Micro-Star International), a global leader in IT industry and AIoT field, to unveil their groundbreaking "Mobile Autonomous Drone Charging Robot" at the 2025 Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE). This cutting-edge system integrates autonomous drone charging stations with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), offering a highly efficient and flexible solution for autonomous warehouse inspection, automated inventory tracking, and smart factory operations.

The system combines Avilon's proprietary visual-based autonomous navigation and flight control technologies with MSI's robust line of AMRs and onboard computing modules. Unlike traditional warehouse drone operations that rely on multiple fixed charging stations, which require initial installation and offer limited flexibility, this new solution enables drones to be recharged by a mobile robot that actively travels to the drone's location when low battery is detected. This dramatically improves drone operational uptime, reduces infrastructure and installation costs, and eliminates the need for fixed charging stations, which is crucial for indoor logistics and dynamic warehouse layouts.

As one of the few systems in the world capable of fully autonomous navigation, landing, charging, and mission continuation, the platform demonstrates exceptional capabilities in edge computing and advanced navigation for both MSI's AMR-AI-Base Robot and Avilon's Photon inventory drone. It empowers warehouse operators to streamline operations, reduce infrastructure requirements, and minimize human labor.

Avilon has extensive international deployment experience, having successfully implemented its smart warehouse drone solutions in multiple multinational warehouses across Thailand. This proven track record aligns with MSI's product line strategy, as MSI actively expands its presence in the unmanned vehicle market. Their collaboration was initiated through Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) "Corporate-Startup Co-Creation Program" and was first showcased during the "Building an Innovative and Entrepreneurial Rainforest Ecosystem" press conference this past August.

As MSI extends its expertise from gaming computing platforms into next-generation robotics and drone technologies, its AMR product line and global service network offer robust support for scaling such integrated solutions. Together, Avilon and MSI aim to accelerate the adoption of autonomous UAV-AMR systems across indoor industrial environments, helping enterprises helping enterprises in manufacturing, logistics, and e-commerce unlock the full potential of autonomous UAV-AMR systems and next-generation warehouse automation.
