HD Renewable Energy's Star Renewables Facilitates Green Energy Transfer to Assist Bank SinoPac in Creating a Green-Powered Building

HD Renewable Energy's subsidiary, Star Renewables, has entered into a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Bank SinoPac. The contract for the year 2023 involves the procurement of 14.3 million kWh of green electricity, with a commitment to further increase their green energy demand. Since 2022, Bank SinoPac has been purchasing green energy, introducing 2.6 million kWh annually to its own office building, equivalent to about 10% of Bank SinoPac's total electricity consumption. This translates to an annual carbon reduction of 1,323 metric tons, approximately equivalent to the carbon sequestration capacity of 3.4 Da'an Forest Park in a year.
HDRE stated that Star Renewables' green energy trading platform currently boasts the highest number of photovoltaic projects in Taiwan. Simultaneously, it stands as the renewable energy seller with the highest capacity for selling green energy. Star Renewables offers comprehensive green energy procurement services to enterprises, including electricity consultation, power visualization, energy storage system integration, and assistance in obtaining green energy certificates. After comprehensively understanding a company's electricity needs, Star Renewables employs data collection and professional analysis to provide users with optimized green energy solutions in terms of generation, conservation, and storage. For post-purchase services, the "TITAN Energy Management System" offers power visualization, helping users monitor power usage around the clock, manage energy effectively, and plan the next-stage green energy purchasing strategy. Additionally, Star Renewables assists green energy users in obtaining "Electronic Certificates of Origin for Tradable Renewable Energy Credits" (T-RECs), validating that their electricity comes from renewable sources, meeting both user and supply chain carbon reduction and sustainability demands.
Since obtaining its electricity-selling license in 2021, Star Renewables has consecutively signed green energy and certificate purchase contracts with leading telecommunication company Taiwan Mobile (TWM), major private bank E.SUN BANK (ESB), Cathay United Bank, CTBC Bank, as well as renowned entities like Taipei 101 and prominent battery manufacturer TAIWAN YUASA BATTERY. They have also facilitated green energy consultation and transfer for over 50 enterprises. In 2022, their annual success in transferring green energy exceeded 8 million kWh, and by the first half of 2023, it surpassed 10 million kWh. The accumulated signing capacity from their inception to the current date exceeds 600 million kWh of green energy. According to statistical results from the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER) from 2022 to the present, Star Renewables ranks within the top three for both renewable energy sales and photovoltaic sales volume.
