|High-Speed Rail Pingtung-Zuoying Project Faces Risks; Kaohsiung Project May Revive
The High-Speed Rail Pingtung-Zuoying Project is currently in the Department of Planning stage. However, the phase 2 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has yet to be conducted. The engineering community has expressed concerns about the future operational risks of the Zuoying route. There is a possibility that the Kaohsiung project, previously considered in the feasibility study, may be revived. The Railway Bureau, MOTC has discreetly acknowledged that the route has not yet been confirmed.
Zuoying Route:The route extends from Zuoying Station, passing through Renwu, Niaosong, and Dashu districts, and crosses the Gaoping River into Pingtung County, with a station planned at Liukuaicuo in Pingtung City.
Kaohsiung Route:This route involves underground construction from Zuoying Station along the Taiwan Railway corridor to Kaohsiung (Train Station), then elevated from Fengshan, and finally converges with the Zuoying route at Liukuaicuo in Pingtung.
|Intense Competition for the Kaohsiung MRT Orange Line Weiwuying Joint Development Project
The Kaohsiung MRT Orange Line O10/Y18 Weiwuying Station joint development project, with an investment starting at least 20 billion TWD, has attracted over ten teams to collect the bid documents. It is understood that this major joint development project will close its bid collection at the end of August, with three teams among the bidders expressing strong determination to win.
|Kaohsiung MRT Yellow Line Y15 Station Joint Development Project to Prioritize Establishing Corporate Headquarters
The Kaohsiung MRT Yellow Line Y15 Station joint development project, which focuses on establishing corporate headquarters, is scheduled to close its bid submission on August 8. This project adopts a cross-departmental "two-stage" evaluation process. Two major technology companies have obtained the "Asia New Bay Certification" from the Economic Development Bureau, qualifying them for the evaluation.
