CDWE secures second transportation and installation contract under Phase 3.1 Offshore Wind Development

CSBC Corporation (CSBC, TWSE: 2208) announced that its subsidiary, CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE), has secured another major offshore wind contract, marking a new milestone in its business development. Building on its proven track record of high-quality execution, CDWE signed agreements with Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) for the transportation and installation of foundations and an offshore substation, as well as for seabed rock dumping works for the Formosa 4 offshore wind farm.

This is CDWE's second offshore wind farm contract awarded under Taiwan's Phase 3.1 Zonal Development. According to the project plan, installation works will commence in the first half of 2027, including the construction of 35 jacket foundations, one offshore substation, and seabed rock dumping operations.

This marks the first collaboration between CDWE and SRE in the construction of a Taiwanese offshore wind project. The Formosa 4 offshore wind farm, developed by SRE, is the first awarded project under Taiwan's Phase 3.1 Zonal Development. With an installed capacity of 495MW, the wind farm is located approximately 20 kilometers off the coast of Miaoli. CDWE will deploy its locally built offshore installation vessel, Green Jade, as the main work vessel to carry out foundation installation and related works, demonstrating Taiwan's localized offshore wind capabilities.

Since its establishment six years ago, CDWE has been dedicated to advancing Taiwan's offshore wind marine engineering capabilities. The company has successfully completed turbine and foundation installation works for the Changfang & Xidao and Zhong Neng offshore wind farms, and last month, it delivered all foundations and the substation for the Hai Long offshore wind project ahead of schedule.

Leveraging the high performance, efficiency, and heavy-lift capacity of its national flagship vessel, Green Jade, CDWE continues to expand its operational footprint across the Taiwan Strait. The project execution and management teams have demonstrated strong resilience and professionalism in overcoming diverse offshore conditions, ensuring optimal installation efficiency and quality. These achievements not only reinforce the strength of Taiwan's domestic offshore marine engineering teams but also contribute to the growth and localization of the offshore wind industry.
