The event has invited representatives from the ocean (coast), blue carbon, coastal communities, and net-zero just transition fields, as well as scholars, experts, civil organizations, and government agencies to participate to further discuss the development of the renewable energy industry and life in the main arena of coastal communities, as well as explore the interactive relationship between seagrass bed coastal community residents and the blue carbon marine environment.
On the afternoons of 11/4-5, "Negotiating Just Transition in Ocean and Net-Zero" is presented by a scenario-based simulation theater with a thematic focus on "Offshore Wind." This unique presentation combines art performances and social science research to openly showcase disputes and contradictions to the public. The goal is to engage the audience in contemplation regarding how to collectively progress in the face of scientific uncertainties.
