SRE and Star Trade Sign CPPA for 800 MW Formosa 6 Offshore Wind Project
Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE) announced that it has signed a CPPA with international electricity services provider Star Trade (星星電力) for its Formosa 6 offshore wind project (海廣離岸風電計畫). The agreement builds on the companies' green power partnership and marks further progress in project development.

Floating Offshore Wind Demonstration Program Unveiled; Energy Administration to Announce Bid Winners as Early as Q3 Next Year
The Energy Administration, MOEA, today (8th) released a draft floating offshore wind demonstration program, planning to select 2 suitable demonstration wind farms, with the flexibility to add a 3rd project depending on circumstances. Each project will comprise 6 to 12 floating platforms, with a capacity of approximately 100 to 200 MW. Eligible projects must adopt a "floating subsea foundation" design.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Department of Agriculture (USDA), along with other federal agencies, launched the "Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Initiative" to establish a coordinated strategy to scale up commercial SAF production. The initiative builds on a government-wide MOU to lower SAF costs, strengthen energy security, and expand domestic production and use.

The 21st Joint Business Conference of MNCCI and CIECA Successfully Held in Mongolia to Explores New Opportunities
The Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) led a 25-member trade delegation to Ulaanbaatar from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2 for the 2026 Taiwan-Mongolia Economic and Trade Mission. Led by the Chair of CIECA, Hsin (Carol) Cheng, the delegation brought together representatives from Taiwan's biotechnology and healthcare, technology, tourism and related industries. In cooperation with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), the delegation also held the "The 21st Joint Business Conference of MNCCI and CIECA" to strengthen bilateral economic ties through business exchanges, company visits and matchmaking.
