RIC Energy, a Spanish solar developer, plans to construct California's largest green hydrogen facility at the Cadiz Ranch in the Mojave Desert. This project will involve a 100-120 MW electrolyser powered by 700MW-1GW of solar energy, supplemented by approximately 1GWh of battery storage. Cadiz Ranch, owned by Cadiz Inc., will supply 500 acre-feet of water annually for electrolysis, supporting sustainable energy production for California's transport, industrial, and power sectors.

Cathay Life Insurance Invests NT$27.32 Billion in Ørsted's Greater Changhua 4 Offshore Wind Farm Setting the Largest Wind Energy Investment in Life Insurance Sector
Cathay Financial Holdings, through its subsidiary Cathay Life Insurance, announced today that it intends to invest in Ørsted's Greater Changhua 4 - North West Offshore Wind Farm via Cathay Wind Power and Cathay Power. The company has obtained approval from the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), with the transaction amount not exceeding NT$27.32 billion, marking the largest investment by the domestic life insurance sector in wind power to date.

Tesco has entered into a significant agreement to purchase nearly two-thirds of the energy produced by the Cleve Hill solar park in Kent, which will be the UK's largest solar and battery storage project. This deal will enable Tesco to meet up to 10% of its annual electricity demand, providing power for 144 of its large supermarkets. Built by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, the £450 million solar park is expected to be operational by early next year.

Equinor ASA has acquired 41,197,344 shares in Ørsted A/S, representing 9.8% of the company's shares and voting rights. This purchase makes Equinor the second-largest shareholder in Ørsted, following the Danish State, which retains a controlling interest.
