On the morning of November 14, under the coordination of the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association's European Division, e-FORMULA General Manager Peter Chang led a delegation to accompany representatives from Germany's GMK to the Energy Administration for in-depth discussions on geothermal development and technical collaboration. The meeting was attended and supported by Division Director Tito Tang.

Taiwan Marks Breakthrough in Geothermal Development as Baseload Power Secures First FPIC Approval Advancing a Community-Centered Energy Partnership Model
Baseload Power Taiwan, a global geothermal developer, has marked a major milestone in Taiwan's renewable energy transition by obtaining the nation's first-ever Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) for a geothermal exploration and development project under the Indigenous Peoples Basic Law. On November 9, the company inaugurated its local office in Hongye Village, Wanrong Township, Hualien County, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the community—establishing a new paradigm in which energy development and community revitalization advance hand in hand.

Experts Predict China Could Outperform 2035 Emissions Targets Yet Doubts Persist over Short-Term Cuts
A strong majority of experts (69%) believe that China will significantly or partly overachieve its new climate targets for 2035 of reducing emissions by 7 to 10% compared to peak levels, illustrating that China can indeed achieve much higher reductions. That's according to the results of the latest expert survey conducted by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) and the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS).
