EnergyOMNI's Perspectives|World Bank Group Energy Program Supports the Philippines' Offshore Wind Development
The World Bank Group's Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), launched the Offshore Wind Development Program in 2019 to support developing countries in advancing sustainable energy development and accelerating the energy transition. In 2019, ESMAP provided offshore wind resource assessments and technical assistance for eight emerging markets: Brazil, India, Morocco, the Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Vietnam.
