Floating Wind in Taiwan
Main Theme Of This Issue
EnergyOMNI | Publishing of Chinese-English Bilingual Magazine
We continually create the "value" by doing something new for each issue of 《EnergyOMNI 全・能源》. On the 3rd publication, we conduct a survey targeting Taiwan's offshore wind industry and yet we discovered some issue that haven't been explore before. For example, most interviewee have no feeling toward that round 3 bidding structure selecting developers with the technological capability. Furthermore, developer and supply chain have diverse views regarding the purpose of round 3 structure, reveal the conflict resulted from the bidding regulations. We about to embrace the outcome of round 3.1 auction. The announcement for Ørsted an Jera not participating round 3, the shifting impact of the political situation of China, the crises of energy supply resulted from the war and continuous inflation, the urgent need for decarbonization globally, all of these making the operation and management of "green energy" industry harder than it used to be. I believe the key is whether we could turn the crisis into a turning point.
As one of my esteem friends said, those who intends to supply their products and services to the industry don't need protection, they find their way doing business to global supply chain. Afterall, no business environment nor policy is fully ready to each change, like one of my best friends pointed out. As long as we continue to put our best foot forward at every step we make and seize every opportunity we have, the end results may be different and worth of looking forward to.
Featured Story on the Magazine Cover
In this issue, we have the pleasure of featuring two lovely sisters, Vera & Natalia, as the cover artists. They have beautifully depicted a magical world where energy and nature coexist in harmony! Mermaids and dolphins frolic happily, and beneath the rainbow wind turbines, the sisters transform into dolphins, playfully gliding through the deep blue sea.
