CPC Achieves ISCC CORSIA and ISCC EU Certification for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)

CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC) held a certification ceremony today (16th) for the ISCC CORSIA (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification - Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) and ISCC EU standards. CPC is the first oil company in Taiwan to achieve ICAO-compliant certification for the supply and sale of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) with measurable carbon reduction benefits. This milestone underscores Taiwan's significant role in the global green aviation value chain.
The certification ceremony was witnessed by Po-Tung Lo is Vice President at CPC Corp/Taiwan, and the certification was issued by Bureau Veritas, a renowned French verification institution, affirming CPC's compliance with international sustainability standards for energy supply.
By obtaining this certification, CPC demonstrates its firm commitment to energy transition. CPC plans to closely monitor ICAO's implementation of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). The company has designated 2025 as the inaugural year for SAF supply and initiated preparations for ISCC certification early in 2024. This extensive effort involved system planning, implementation, operation, and optimization, mobilizing nearly 500 personnel from 14 departments over 10 months. These collective efforts culminated in achieving both ISCC CORSIA and ISCC EU certifications, marking a significant milestone in advancing Taiwan's SAF capabilities.
CPC emphasized that obtaining ISCC CORSIA and ISCC EU certifications not only aligns its SAF initiatives with international standards but also highlights its capabilities and commitment to sustainable energy practices. This achievement injects green momentum into Taiwan's aviation industry and reflects CPC's proactive stance in the global energy transition. Looking ahead, CPC will continue to drive innovation in sustainable energy technologies, contributing to the realization of net-zero emissions and a greener future.
