On October 23, 2023, the Huanyang Offshore Wind Farm jointly held by EDF Renewables (80.1%) and Taiya Renewable (19.9%) announced its renaming as the "Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project." "Wei Lan Hai" represents the most iconic and enchanting stretch of the southern French Mediterranean coastline, while the new project logo incorporates a local landmark, the Changhua Fangyuan Lighthouse, in addition to the symbolism of offshore wind waves and turbines, underscoring the project's close ties to the local community.

Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Farm is located offshore in Changhua County with an allocated capacity of 440MW. Covering an area of approximately 53 square kilometers, it will employ fixed underwater foundations, with an estimated annual power generation of around 1.6 billion kw-hours, sufficient to meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 460,000 households. The project is scheduled for grid connection in the year 2027.
