Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) has become the first company in Taiwan to officially receive the U.S. Department of Defense's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 (Final Status), demonstrating its strong cybersecurity capabilities and enhancing its competitiveness in pursuing U.S. defense contracts. As the chair of the "Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunity Alliance" (TEDIBOA), AIDC, with strong support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), led alliance members to Texas, USA, to participate in the global flagship event "XPONENTIAL 2025," establishing a Taiwan Pavilion and successfully engaging in over 20 cooperation opportunities, with total potential business exceeding NT$1 billion.

With the support of the MOEA and the Ministry of Digital Affairs, AIDC obtained CMMC Level 2 certification and completed registration in the U.S. Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). This achievement demonstrates AIDC's advanced cybersecurity capabilities in compliance with U.S. Department of Defense supply chain requirements, helping secure higher-level defense contracts in the future. Beyond enhancing its international supply chain competitiveness, AIDC is implementing a comprehensive CMMC cybersecurity framework to build a systematic governance and mentoring mechanism. In the future, AIDC will also assist other alliance members in obtaining certification.

At the "XPONENTIAL 2025" drone exhibition, AIDC, together with leading companies such as Coretronic Corporation, Thunder Tiger Technology, and Geosat Aerospace & Technology, made a strong impression with their outstanding technological capabilities, attracting significant attention from international buyers. One of the historic highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between TEDIBOA and the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) to foster industrial cooperation, promote Green UAS certification applications, enhance bilateral B2B matchmaking and visits, and support Taiwanese companies in entering the U.S. supply chain. Additionally, a strategic partnership was established with the Oklahoma Defense Industry Association (ODIA), creating a new bridge for Taiwan-U.S. collaboration in the drone industry.

The MOEA will continue to promote the upgrading and internationalization of Taiwan's drone industry through diverse initiatives, including policy support, enhanced cybersecurity certification, and overseas market expansion. These efforts aim to accelerate overall industry growth and reach the goal of NT$40 billion by 2030, steadily advancing toward high-value development. At the same time, the government will actively connect with international partners and deepen cross-border cooperation to establish Taiwan as the Asian hub of the democratic drone supply chain.
