The new chairperson of the Ocean Affairs Council, Bi-Ling Kuan, took the oath of office on January 31st
The new chairperson of the Ocean Affairs Council, Bi-Ling Kuan, took the oath of office on January 31st and presided over the first meeting of the Ocean Affairs Council and the head of the affiliated organization the next day, keeping track of business progress.
Bi-Ling Kuan stated that the National Ocean Research Institute is the basis for ocean policy planning. Various ongoing ocean scientific research or construction projects, such as the oceanography survey ship, the national ocean-wide survey, the national ocean database, coastal recreation risk information, ocean current key technology, and the ship model laboratory, are all valuable ocean research assets. Encouraging colleagues to work steadily and far so that these studies can be deepened and linked to the international level in order to enhance Taiwan's international visibility.
Bi-Ling Kuan stated that in the future, she would make great efforts to assist colleagues in securing job resources, creating a quality enforcement environment and treatment environment, and serving relevant organizations and the public with empathy.
