LCY Advanced Materials Corp (李長榮先進材料股份有限公司), a global supplier of critical semiconductor chemicals, officially broke ground on its expansion project at the Taichung Science Park facility. Following its spin-off from LCY Chemical earlier this year, the expansion marks a key milestone in the company's independent growth strategy, reinforcing its commitment to supporting global semiconductor and electronic materials partners while enhancing Taiwan's supply chain resilience. The ceremony was attended by key semiconductor customers, Taichung Science Park Administration officials, and local government representatives.

Chairman Fan-Ming Chao (趙繁明) stated that the expansion marks a significant milestone following the company's transition to independent operations, demonstrating agile decision-making capabilities and growth momentum under the new organizational structure. Amid the global restructuring of supply chains, the company will continue to implement its strategy of "local production and local supply," providing precise support for advanced manufacturing process requirements, becoming a reliable high-end capacity partner for customers, and aligning green manufacturing practices with global carbon reduction goals.

The expansion is designed to meet rising demand driven by AI, high-performance computing, and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The electronic-grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA) expansion is scheduled to begin production in Q3 2027, increasing the facility's total capacity to 60,000 metric tons. In addition to IPA, the plant produces customized formulations for advanced processes and packaging applications, including wafer polishing, etching, and temporary bonding cleaning, providing high-performance, low-VOCs solutions for leading semiconductor manufacturers.

LCY Advanced Materials is also accelerating its global production network by developing a three-base manufacturing strategy across Linkou? (Taiwan), Yunlin, and the United States. The company's U.S. plant construction project has commenced, aiming to establish a more resilient global supply network. Meanwhile, the company continues to strengthen its vertically integrated high-purity electronic-grade IPA production capabilities in Taiwan and promote chemical recycling and reuse for semiconductor applications.

The Taichung expansion also represents a new phase of smart manufacturing transformation, incorporating Agentic AI and Digital Twin technologies to optimize production, safety, quality, and energy management. Aligned with global ESG standards, LCY Advanced Materials has committed to reducing carbon emissions by 42% by 2030, achieving RE85 by 2030 and RE100 by 2035, while advancing toward a sustainable, net-zero semiconductor materials supply chain.
