2023 Offshore Wind International Federation of Consulting Engineers Practical Training Course (Phase 2)

Offshore wind in Taiwan is in the developmental stage. Domestic contractors lack experience executing the International Federation of Consulting Engineers and negotiations. Offshore wind development is a complex, large-scale engineering project. It can result in additional costs of intangible capital in the future if contract issues are not handled correctly or if there is a lack of understanding between the two parties in terms of the construction of the project.

This course is focused on providing professional training to enhance the expertise of domestic industry contractors and assist in solving contract bottlenecks within the industry supply chains. It also aims to strengthen related legal knowledge of contract terms, and responsibility attribution, by sharing practical cases and learning how to achieve consensus on risk allocation to achieve the goal of talent cultivation.

“2023 Offshore Wind International Federation of Consulting Engineers Practical Training Course (Phase 2)” is jointly organized by World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER). It features guest lectures by legal, financial, maritime engineering, electrical power, and business operation experts. 

Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the organizing agency by completing 15 hours of coursework. Please refer to the registration brochure for more information.

Training Dates | March 20th-22nd, 2023 (Monday to Wednesday), three days total.

Training Location | GIS Taichung Xinwuri Convention Center. (Address: 3F, Taiwan Railways Xinwuri Station, No.26, Gaotie E. 1st Rd., Wuri Dist., Taichung City.)

Visit Time/Location | March 22nd, 2023 (Wednesday), 2 PM, Taiwan Wind Energy Training Co., Ltd. (TIWTC) (Round-trip shuttle bus service provided from Taichung HSR station)

Training Target | Participants related to offshore wind development, such as developers, EPCI, supply chain contractors, maritime engineering, etc., industry professionals interested in the offshore wind industry, legal professionals and engineering contract-related personnel, and middle and senior-level managers.
