Northland Power Announces the Appointment of Christine Healy as New President and CEO

Northland Power Inc. announced on the 2nd of this month that its Board of Directors has appointed Christine Healy, a distinguished leader in energy transition, as the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 5, 2025. In addition to her role as President and CEO, Christine Healy will also be nominated to serve as a member of the Board of Directors, with this nomination to be confirmed at the company's next Annual General Meeting in 2025.

Christine Healy brings over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, sustainable development, and energy transition, managing multi-billion-dollar businesses with exceptional expertise. Before joining Northland Power, she served as President of the Asia, Middle East, and Australia regions at Atkins Réalis. She also held senior management positions at TotalEnergies for over five years, including as Senior Vice President of Carbon Neutrality and European Affairs, where she led global portfolio sustainability initiatives and advanced projects in carbon capture and storage and nature-based solutions.
Christine Healy's distinguished career also includes serving as President and CEO of Total E&P Canada, where she achieved record profitability through innovative cost and transportation strategies. She was previously Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at Maersk Oil and Gas and Vice President of Business Development for North America at Statoil (now Equinor). Christine Healy, a highly regarded Canadian business leader, has consistently driven innovation, fostered strong stakeholder relationships, and successfully navigated complex negotiations.
Christine Healy serves on the Board of Directors of one of Canada's leading corporations, CNRL. With experience living in 5 countries and managing teams across more than 20 nations, she fosters cross-cultural collaboration and implements innovative solutions that deliver lasting, positive change. Christine Healy will be based at Northland Power's headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
