Offshore Wind Zonal Development Phase II: One Entity Has Finalized the Contract-4 Have Submitted Required Amendments

In Offshore Wind Zonal Development Phase II, a total of 5 entities were allocated. All 5 submitted contract applications to MOEA on November 11 last year, with one entity having completed the contract signing. The remaining four wind farms submitted the required amendments within the prescribed deadline on the 14th today. MOEA will promptly review the submitted amendments in accordance with the relevant regulations and proceed with the necessary administrative procedures. The Energy Administration, MOEA emphasized that today the developers demonstrated their optimism about the Taiwanese market and their commitment to collaboratively advancing our nation's wind farm development. The agency expressed its gratitude for the proactive efforts in offshore wind power development and looks forward to continued support from all sectors. MOEA will work closely with the developers to drive Taiwan's energy transition and green power supply, strengthen the competitiveness of Taiwanese industries, and contribute to the global pursuit of net-zero carbon emissions.
