|CSC Enhances Resilience of Entire Plant's Power System to Meet 2050 Carbon Neutrality Challenge
China Steel Corporation (CSC) plans to invest NT$1.55 billion over the 5-year period from 2022 to 2026 to enhance the resilience of its entire power system. This includes efforts to increase the proportion of renewable energy, establish energy storage facilities, develop a microgrid within the plant, strengthen the resilience of power generation units, and apply AI smart modules for electricity management. The initiatives completed to date have not only reduced costs by NT$32.15 million annually but also significantly improved the robustness and reliability of various key power subsystems throughout the plant.
|Run Long Construction Actively Expands Southward; Acquiring King's Town Construction Land in Kaohsiung's Lingya District for 1.3 Billion
Anticipating the expansion of the technology industry in southern Taiwan, Run Long Construction, a subsidiary of Highwealth Construction, is actively acquiring land. On July 10, Run Long Construction announced the purchase of four parcels of land in Lingya District, Kaohsiung City, from King's Town Construction. The land, totaling approximately 440.74 ping, was acquired for NT$1.311 billion, translating to a transaction price of NT$2.9764 million per ping, marking the second-highest land price in the area.
|Two Kaohsiung Restaurants Make it to Michelin's New July Listings
The Taiwan Michelin Guide announced the new restaurants selected in July, with a total of eight restaurants across Taiwan being chosen. Among them, two restaurants from Kaohsiung, Sanhe Qingfeng in Lingya District and CRATAIN in Gushan District, were included in the list.
