Star Chargers Launches First 1 MW Dedicated Fast-Charging Station as Nationwide Network Exceeds 159 Sites

Star Chargers inaugurates its first high-power dedicated charging station. The "Intercontinental Dedicated Station" features a total capacity of 1 MW, 16 charging bays, and supports dual-gun CCS1 and CCS2 standards, delivering a premium, high-performance charging experience.
Star Charger, a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) charging network operator, continued to expand its charging infrastructure in 2025, reaching a total of 159 operational sites nationwide. The company also announced the official commissioning of its first 1 MW–class ultra-high-power fast-charging–dedicated facility, the "Intercontinental Dedicated Station."
Star Charger is strategically deploying sites along major EV travel corridors, encompassing dedicated charging stations, parking facilities, department stores, and railway premises. Through intelligent and user-centric charging services, the company aims to accelerate the development of Taiwan's EV charging ecosystem and support the broader transition to electric mobility.
Star Charger's Intercontinental Dedicated Station Surpasses 1 MW in Total Capacity, Significantly Enhancing Single-Site Service Throughput
The Star Charger Intercontinental Dedicated Station delivers a total installed capacity of 1,080 kW, featuring six 360 kW ultra-fast chargers and two 180 kW fast chargers. The site supports dual-standard CCS1 and CCS2 connectors, enabling simultaneous high-efficiency fast charging for up to 16 parking bays.
Strategically located along Chongde Road in Beitun District, Taichung, the station sits adjacent to the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium and the soon-to-open Hanshin Intercontinental Shopping Mall, benefiting from strong traffic flows and high utilization potential.
Star Charger noted that the Intercontinental Dedicated Station operates 24 hours a day, offers EV charging without parking fees, and is designed to enhance charging flexibility for EV drivers while reducing wait times during peak demand periods.
Accelerated Network Expansion in 2025: Star Charger Operates 159 Sites Nationwide, Integrated with Three Major Automakers and Two Charging Roaming Platforms
In 2025, Star Charger significantly accelerated the rollout of its nationwide charging network, reaching a total of 159 operational charging stations across Taiwan. Looking ahead, the company plans to bring an additional 10 large-scale dedicated charging stations online in 2026, underscoring the steady advancement of its overall deployment strategy.
In parallel, Star Charger has completed system integration with three major automakers—Luxgen, Lexus, and Toyota—as well as two leading charging roaming platforms, uTagGO and AmpGO. All stations fully support Auto Charge (plug-and-charge) functionality, enabling seamless and user-friendly charging experiences.
As of June 2025, the number of electric vehicles in Taiwan has surpassed 100,000 units, reflecting rapid market growth and a corresponding surge in charging demand. By pursuing a dual-track strategy of network expansion and service enhancement, Star Charger continues to build a more comprehensive and accessible EV charging ecosystem in Taiwan, with a strong focus on user-centric design and operational reliability.
Exclusive Charging Promotion Season for EV Owners: "Star Charger Season" Extended Through Early Next Year
Star Charger has launched its year-end promotional campaign, "Star Charger Season," offering a series of charging incentives for electric vehicle owners from now through January 4, 2026.
Currently announced offers include a NTD 5.5 per kWh preferential rate available around the clock at select City Parking and mobility hub sites, as well as off-peak discounts at designated DC EV Chargers stations. The promotion covers more than 40 charging stations nationwide, including high-demand locations such as Qingpu Dedicated Station, Syntrend Creative Park, and Nangang LaLaport.
Star Charger further indicated that additional exclusive offers—such as new-station launch incentives and limited-time pop-up promotions—will be rolled out progressively under the "Star Charger Season" program. Timed to coincide with the year-end travel peak, these initiatives aim to provide EV drivers with more cost-competitive and flexible charging options, further enhancing the overall charging experience across Taiwan.
