wpd announced its completion of the lifting of 6 wind turbines, and has successfully get through two typhoons of Doksuri and Khanun.
Xinyuan Wind Farm is located in Lunbei Township, Yunlin County, equipped with six installed wind turbines using Vestas V136 WTGs system, with a blade diameter of 136 meters, which can not only better capture wind resources, but also the largest onshore wind model in Taiwan currently, which is expected to provide 13,725 households with electricity consumption for a whole year.
Weiwei Tseng, chairman of wpd, said that disaster prevention of large wind turbines are very important, and the recently completed Xinyuan project has encountered two typhoons: Doksuri and Khanun, and the performance remains excellent. In addition to providing renewable energy as a solution to climate change, wpd also takes disaster prevention measures to protect and ensure the safety of wind turbines. The six onshore wind turbines in the Xinyuan project have capacity of 25,200kW and are expected to be connected to the grid by the end of 2023.
