Skyborn Renewables, a global offshore wind infrastructure platform, participated in Energy Taiwan 2026 and hosted the "Delivered. Offshore Wind Financing & Sustainability Forum" (Delivered. 離岸風電融資與永續發展論壇) on the first day of the exhibition. The event brought together nearly 100 representatives from international banks, local financial institutions, and the industry to discuss the future of Taiwan's offshore wind market over the next decade.

Recognizing Taiwan's strong potential as an offshore wind market and its robust demand for green electricity, the forum focused on building a sustainable financing and investment environment for the industry. Participants identified 3 key factors for attracting long-term capital: stable policies and a consistent project pipeline, developers' proven track records in project delivery and operations, and well-developed financing channels and talent ecosystems.

Under the theme of "The First Decade: Our Position in 2026 and the Next Decade," the forum featured Lei Chang (張雷), Deputy General Manager of Société Générale Taiwan (法國興業銀行); Chun-Chieh Hsu (許俊傑), Head of Global Corporate Banking at Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank (台北富邦商業銀行); and James Lo (羅富彥), Regional Finance Director & CFO of Skyborn Renewables Asia-Pacific.

The discussion was moderated by Chao-Yung Huang (黃昭勇), Editor-in-Chief of the CSR Channel at CommonWealth Magazine (天下雜誌). Representing international banking, local banking, and project development, the speakers examined Taiwan's achievements in offshore wind over the past decade, current market challenges, and prospects for sustainable growth.

James Lo said: "The competitive dynamics of the global offshore wind market are changing. The focus is shifting from rapid expansion to competition among markets to secure capital and developers with proven delivery capabilities. Over its first decade, Taiwan has accumulated more than offshore wind farms. It has also established a leading position in the Asia-Pacific region through its talent pool, financing capabilities, supply chain, and track record of delivering projects. Looking ahead to the next decade, stable and predictable policies, a sustained project pipeline, and diversified financing channels will be critical to bringing more bankable projects with long-term operational capabilities to fruition."

During Energy Taiwan 2026, Skyborn Renewables showcased its expertise under the theme "From Plan to Power. Delivered." The exhibition highlighted the company's capabilities across the entire offshore wind project lifecycle, its biodiversity research in Europe and Taiwan, and its operational expertise through an immersive VR 2.0 experience featuring the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm and interactive wind energy exhibits.

Building on its end-to-end experience and long-term commitment to the 640 MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm (雲林離岸風場)—from development and construction through operations—Skyborn Renewables continues to use Taiwan as its Asia-Pacific hub and support the stable development of Taiwan's offshore wind market.

The company's 976.5 MW Gennaker project in Germany represents the next flagship milestone. Having reached a Final Investment Decision (FID) in September 2026, the project is expected to be completed in 2028 and will become the largest offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Skyborn Renewables remains committed to delivering reliable, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions to help realize a low-carbon future.
