To accelerate the sustainable development of the green energy industry, Shinfox Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today (1st) with the National Central University (NCU) and its pioneering "Graduate College of Sustainability and Green Energy" (SAGE) to collaborate on talent cultivation and academic-industrial partnerships for the "Changhua Yuanta Offshore Wind Power Plant Project." This collaboration aims to strengthen Taiwan's marine geology and geophysics research, nurturing elite "green collar" professionals and fostering a win-win outcome through industry-academic synergies.

Hui-Sen Hu, President and Director of Shinfox Energy, stated that through interdisciplinary collaboration, SAGE aspires to develop sustainable and green energy technologies and cultivate talents with both sustainability literacy and technical expertise. This vision aligns with Shinfox Energy's commitment to advancing the sustainable growth of Taiwan's green energy sector.

Hu further highlighted that Shinfox Energy participated in the second auction for offshore wind power zonal development this year through the "Changhua Yuanta Offshore Wind Power Plant Project," and was awarded a contract in August. The next steps will involve a series of site investigations and design phases, including geophysical and geotechnical drilling operations, which will provide critical input parameters for underwater foundations and turbine tower design.

Shinfox Energy aims to leverage NCU's decades-long expertise and extensive database in earth sciences to support investigations, analyses, and design for offshore wind farm projects, reducing geological risk for developers. Furthermore, by aligning with SAGE’s industry-academia cooperative program in green energy technology, outstanding talent will be cultivated, allowing students to gain early exposure to commercial development processes and become familiar with the operations of high-tech workplaces.

Jing-Yang Jou. Professor, President for NCU, emphasized that NCU has established Taiwan's first "Graduate College of Sustainability and Green Energy," which aims to produce hundreds of elite "green collar" professionals each year. NCU is also the first university nationwide to offer master’s and doctoral degrees in sustainability. SAGE offers three programs: "Sustainability Leadership," "Sustainability in Decarbonization," and "Sustainability in Green Energy." These programs are designed to equip students with certifications in energy management systems, environmental management systems, and water resource efficiency management, providing crucial support for Taiwan's green energy transition.
