Fengmiao Phase 1 Offshore Wind Farm Signs First CPPA for Zonal Development Round 3 with SAS and Sustainable Energy Solution
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V), announced on the 29th of last month that its Fengmiao Phase 1 Offshore Wind Farm has officially signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. (SAS) and its renewable energy sales subsidiary, Sustainable Energy Solution. This marks the first corporate power purchase deal under Taiwan's Zonal Development Round 3 and signifies a major milestone, transitioning Taiwan's offshore wind power sector from the Taipower purchase model to direct corporate procurement.

The Taiwan Ocean and Environmental Sustainability Law Center (TOES Law Center) held a press conference at the Legislative Yuan on the 11th titled "Ensuring Safety through Coexistence: Advocating for AIS Installation on Every Offshore Wind Turbine." By the end of October 2024, 374 offshore wind turbines have been installed along the western coast of Taiwan.

Sheffield Green's Wind Asia Training Center Inaugurates First Facility in Taiwan Chiayi Marking a Milestone in Global Wind Energy Training
Sheffield Green, a Singapore-based leader in renewable energy solutions, celebrated the opening of its first "Wind Asia Training Center" in Chiayi County's Ma Chou Hou Industrial Park on October 23. This facility, representing a significant milestone in the company's global training operations, integrates funding, expertise, and technologies from Singapore, the UK, and Taiwan. The center offers "Global Wind Organization (GWO)-certified wind energy training courses" in multiple languages, including Mandarin, English, and Japanese. It will progressively introduce advanced and customized programs to develop skilled professionals for the offshore wind energy sector.
