Invenergy and energyRe's Leading Light Wind project, which is one of two winners in New Jersey's latest solicitation. The 2.4GW offshore wind project will create an estimated 7500 jobs and $3.7bn in anticipated economic development benefits for the state, said its developers. Leading Light Wind and Attentive Energy 2 will deliver 3.7GW of offshore wind in New Jersey's offshore wind solicitation round. Attentive Energy 2 was developed by Corio Generation and TotalEnergies.

Solarcells has commenced the production of solar panels in December 2023, as reported by the Luxembourg Times. The company is set to manufacture 40,000 solar panels annually, with ambitious plans to increase the output to 200,000 panels per year. Solarcells, established last year, is a collaborative effort between Luxembourg's Socom Group and Belgium's Evocells in the solar panel industry.

(2) The main objective of this initiative is to develop a prototype of a sustainable blade with improved durability and easy maintenance.
(3) Norvento Enerxía will be responsible for the design and manufacture of 2 blade prototypes, focused on testing the suitability of the technologies and materials used.

Strong Northeast Monsoon in Taiwan - Wind Power Instantaneous Generation Surpasses 2 GW
Recently, the strengthening of the northeast monsoon has bolstered wind power generation. Taipower announces that the instantaneous wind power generation has surpassed the 2 GW milestone for the first time since Sunday (21st). The peak, recorded at 16:22 on 21st, reached 203.7 MW, setting a new historical high, almost equivalent to the total output of four Hsinda coal-fired units. Most of the time, it maintained an output of over 190 MW, generating approximately 2 million kilowatt-hours in an hour, supplying the daily electricity needs of nearly 200,000 households.

Japan Sets Ambitious Goals Opening 2 New Sites for Offshore Wind Development
The Japanese government continues its push for more offshore wind development, opening the third round of project allocations. To shore up the Japanese target of 10 GW within 2030 and to fill the pipeline with new opportunities for both foreign and domestic developers, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry is now inviting developers to bid on two new sites, totaling 1050 MW.
