Taiwan Offshore Wind Industry Association (TOWIA) clarified on recent reports that typhoons have failed to increase the amount of offshore wind turbine power generated
Regarding the doubts about the increase in offshore wind power generation during typhoons, TOWIA explained that the peripheral circulation of typhoons in the southern waters of Taiwan was blocked by the Central Mountain Range, resulting in a general lack of wind or reduced wind power in western Taiwan. As a result, offshore wind turbines could not generate electricity during the typhoon.

The first student-initiated sustainability conference, "SSICON Student Sustainable Innovation Conference," was held on 8th July 2023. The conference focused on sustainable talent incubation and involved the collaboration of over 18 student communities and social entrepreneurship organizations. The student-led event, initiated by 21 university students from 14 schools, holds significant importance in Taiwan and attracted over 300 young online and offline participants. VickyHsueh, Chief Human Resources Officer, believes that "it is not theories that inspire people to change, but the process of finding practical actions to act."

CIP and Export Credit Banks Audit Progress of Changfang and Xidao Wind Farms in Taiwan
Denmark offshore wind developer CIP, along with a consortium of seven export credit banks comprising over 60 individuals, is set to arrive in Taiwan on the 26th of June. They will be joined by domestic and international host banks and syndicate banks, making a total of over a hundred people who will travel offshore to conduct an audit of the wind farm project located off the coast of Changhua.

The fourth National Oceans Day Taiwan event, which began on June 8th, is a three-day spectacular event held at the Kaohsiung Music Center. On the opening day, President Ing-Wen Tsai attended the celebration ceremony in person, along with many government officials, including Bi-Ling Kuan, Minister of the Ocean Affairs Council (OAC), and Chi-Mai Chen, Mayor of Kaohsiung City, as well as domestic and foreign dignitaries, including 14 ambassadors and representatives from embassies and representative offices in Taiwan.

Taiya Renewable Energy aims to proactively deploy vessels to enhance the capacity for wind farm construction.
