ASX-listed Carnegie Clean Energy has won Phase2 of the €20m EU-funded EuropeWavePCP Programme
ASX-listed CarnegieCleanEnergy has won Phase2 of the €20m EU-funded EuropeWavePCP Programme. Carnegie’s wholly owned subsidiary, CETO Wave Energy Ireland Limited, has been awarded €600k (A$890k) for Phase 2 to conduct a wave tank testing campaign of its CETO wave energy technology in Spain. This follows the competitive selection and successful performance of CETO in Phase 1 of the programme, previously announced to the ASX on 8 December 2021 Carnegie wins the European Wave Energy Contract.

EnerVest recently signed a MoU with TaiwanCetaceanSociety to support the cetacean rehabilitation and related in-depth pathological diagnosis at the Qiding Cetacean Emergency Rescue Center. EnerVest presented a portable high-frequency X-ray machine for cetacean detection to the Taiwan Cetacean Society on September 12, to support its professional team in understanding the physiological conditions of stranded cetaceans in a scientific way. It is estimated that the high-frequency X-ray machine for cetacean detection will be able to detect 15 to 20 cetaceans per year.

Formosa 2 offshore wind project announced that its completed installation of all 47 wind turbine jacket foundations and subsea cables in September
All 47 wind turbine jacket foundations and all subsea cables of Formosa2 have completed installed. Each of the jacket foundation weighs about 1,581 tons and reaches a height of 91 meters. After the completion of Formosa 2, the total installed capacity will be 376 MW, which is expected to provide clean wind energy to about 380,000 households every year.

CWind Taiwan awarded multi-year BoP O&M contract from Changfang & Xidao offshore wind project (CFXD), as well as the Zhong Neng offshore wind project.
CWind Taiwan, a joint venture between International Ocean Group (IOG) and CWind, part of the Global Marine Group (GMG), has been awarded a 6-year contract for the operation and maintenance of the Balance of Plant (BoP) scope for Changfang & Xidao (CFXD) as well as Zhong Neng (ZN) offshore wind farms. The wind farms are located off the west coast of Taiwan, with a total of 93 positions.

HDRenewable joined hands with the Tainan City Government on August 31 to hold the ground-breaking ceremony for the Ri-Yun Project in Qigu, Tainan. This is the first private-run environmental and social inspection fishery-electricity symbiosis project in Taiwan that has been approved by the government. The farm is expected to be completed in March 2023 and can supply 42.6MW of greenelectricity. It will use the method of ecological farming to polyculture white shrimp and mullet, injecting new energy into Taiwan's fishery and photovoltaic layout.

CIP co-organized "Insurers Day 2.0- How the Insurance Industry Can Help Enterprises with ESG and Green Transformation Seminar" with CR Classification Society and Marsh Ltd
Following the first Insurers Day in 2019, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) introduced the concept of risk assessment and insurance for offshorewind projects. Co-organized "Insurers Day 2.0- How the Insurance Industry Can Help Enterprises with ESG and Green Transformation Seminar" with CR Classification Society(CR) and Marsh Ltd., Taiwan Branch. More than 20 financial, insurance companies, and all 14 domestic property & casualty insurance companies were present. Through industry-government-academia exchanges and successful experience sharing of Changfang & Xidao and Zhongneng Wind Farm, it will provide suggestions for expanding Taiwan's offshore wind underwriting energy and establishing alternative risk transfer plans.
