HDRenewable have cooperated with the Penghu County Government officially constructing on of its first photovoltaic project
Penghu has been moving towards the goal of a green energy and low-carbon island since 2011. By the end of 2021, the density of solar energy installations is among the top six in Taiwan. It has accumulated 15MW of solar power installed capacity at present and is expected to become a “100% green energy island” by 2025. HDRenewable cooperated with the Penghu County Government, officially started construction of its first outlying island solar photovoltaic project, and is expected to start construction of the other two projects in the second half of the year. After the completion of the construction site, it is expected to provide nearly 30MW of green electricity, accounting for about 20% of Penghu's overall power generation. Considering that the electricity consumption of Taiwan has repeatedly hit new highs, the green electricity will also be transported back to Taiwan through the Taiwan-Penghu cable, bringing more abundant greenelectricity sources to Taiwan.
