MOEA Appoints Chun-li Lee as Director-General of the Energy Administration
On October 7, 2025, the Executive Yuan approved the appointment of Chun-li Lee, Deputy Director-General of the Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, as the new Director-General of the Energy Administration.
Director-General Lee holds a master's degree in economics from Chinese Culture University and passed the Temporary Civil Service Senior Examination for Economic planning and development administration in 1989. He has held various key positions, including Section Chief, Specialist, Deputy Director, Director, Chief Secretary, and Deputy Director-General at the Energy Commission and the Bureau of Energy. With a solid professional background and extensive administrative experience, Director-General Lee has played a leading role in formulating and amending the Electricity Act and the Renewable Energy Development Act, planning Taiwan's Smart Grid Blueprint, and revising regulations related to power facility management.
Going forward, the Energy Administration will leverage Director-General Lee's expertise in the energy sector to advance the government's major initiatives, including Energy Transition 2.0, renewable energy development, and strengthening power grid resilience.
