Taiwan Smart Electricity & Energy Co., Ltd (TSEE) announced today (October 16) that it has officially signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with EDF Power Solutions, the energy arm of EDF power solutions (EDF), for the Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project in Changhua. Through this long-term green power partnership, the two parties aim to advance the sustainable growth of Taiwan's offshore wind market and set a new benchmark for corporate renewable energy procurement.

Located off the coast of Changhua County, the Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project will have a total installed capacity of 440 MW. Upon completion and grid connection, it is expected to generate approximately 1.7 billion kWh of green electricity annually, making it a key contributor to Taiwan's stable renewable energy supply.

TSEE stated that this project marks a significant milestone in offshore wind power procurement. Through its aggregated green power distribution platform and long-term contracts, the company ensures a stable renewable energy supply, helping domestic enterprises secure sufficient and reliable green electricity as they work toward net-zero emissions and RE100 commitments. This initiative supports businesses in achieving their energy transition goals and strengthens the linkage between Taiwan's industrial supply chain and the global net-zero sustainability trend.

In addition to the Wei Lan Hai Changhua Offshore Wind Project, TSEE is also maintaining close partnerships with several other offshore wind developers to further expand renewable energy collaboration opportunities.

TSEE was jointly established by a consortium of public and private enterprises with the mission of lowering the entry barriers for corporate green power procurement and creating an innovative and flexible power purchasing platform to support Taiwan's national energy transition goals. The company's management team brings together experts from the fields of energy policy, power systems, and finance, with strong capabilities in integration and negotiation.

Looking ahead, TSEE will continue to forge partnerships with more offshore wind developers and domestic enterprises, driving the steady growth of Taiwan's renewable energy market and contributing to the nation's 2050 net-zero emissions goal.
