Tianfeng New Energy Completes 640MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, Fully Enters Commercial Operation; to Showcase Taiwan's Offshore Wind Achievements at 2025 International Smart Energy Week

Skyborn Renewables(天豐新能源)participated in Energy Taiwan 2025, presenting its theme, "Mapping the Full Offshore Wind Value Chain." The company highlighted achievements in maritime engineering, world-class ecological research, and the implementation of ten community co-prosperity initiatives, demonstrating Skyborn's long-term commitment to sustainable value creation in Taiwan.

Operational Milestone at Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm
James Lou, CFO of Skyborn Renewables Asia-Pacific, remarked, "The 640 MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm officially entered commercial operation and the O&M phase this year. This marks Skyborn's first fully operational project in the Asia-Pacific region. The project has set a new benchmark in Taiwan for cross-sea technology transfer and localized industry collaboration. As offshore wind becomes a core driver for Taiwan's AI industrial upgrade and net-zero ambitions, we will continue to actively support the country's energy transition."

Sharing "Taiwan-Led Achievements" in Offshore Wind Core Competitiveness
During the Energy Taiwan Offshore Wind Industry Chain Competitiveness Forum, Skyborn Renewables presented its "Taiwan-Led Achievements" report. The presentation showcased how European and Taiwanese project teams integrated mature offshore wind technologies to address Taiwan's unique seabed and maritime conditions, port logistics, and local stakeholder considerations. The result: optimized engineering solutions compliant with business, regulatory, and environmental standards, creating sustainable, long-term offshore wind competitiveness. Key industry partners, including the newly appointed Deputy Director of the Energy Administration, Chung-Hsien Chen, and Chairman of CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE), Robert Tseng, joined the forum to discuss Taiwan's next-generation offshore wind landscape.

On October 29 at 2:00 PM, Skyborn debuted a five-minute documentary of the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, revealing how the project team overcame pandemic disruptions (2020–2021) and shallow nearshore sandbanks to deliver Taiwan's first fully localized offshore wind farm, achieving 100% domestic content. The documentary also highlighted ten community co-prosperity initiatives, underlining Skyborn's commitment to optimal operations and performance for the next 30 years.

Launching the Taiwan West Coast Cetacean Tracking Research
Skyborn Renewables reaffirmed its dedication to green energy development in harmony with nature by announcing the launch of the "Taiwan West Coast Cetacean Tracking Research" during Energy Taiwan 2025. In collaboration with National Taiwan University and the National Taiwan Ocean University, the project will scientifically investigate the causes of cetacean stranding and mortality, potentially establishing the world's first ocean-based cetacean incident reconstruction model.

Interactive Environmental Education and Public Engagement
At the exhibition, Skyborn also launched the "Blue Ocean Adventure Day" environmental education initiative. Activities included the first Taiwanese "Patterned Dolphin Scar Atlas" curated by the Kuroshio Marine Education Foundation, engaging European schools and the German Economic Office. A VR experience allowed participants to immerse themselves in the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm at sea, while a limited-edition biodiversity-inspired beer, infused with local fruits, offered a novel interactive experience.
