Catenation International's Patented Liquid Distributor Raises CO₂ Capture Efficiency Above 90%
Catenation International Co., Ltd., an engineering company based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, has achieved a significant advancement in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology through its patented liquid distributor for carbon dioxide absorber towers. By optimizing the tower's internal components, the technology increases carbon capture efficiency from the conventional 60–70% range to more than 90%.

Ørsted's Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farms Mark 2 Years of Commercial Operation, Surpassing 7 Billion kWh in Cumulative Power Generation
Ørsted today (12 May) announced the second anniversary of commercial operations for the 900 MW Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind farms. Since full grid connection and completion in April 2024, the wind farms have generated more than 7 billion kWh of electricity cumulatively, equivalent to reducing approximately 3.31 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The projects have also achieved an outstanding safety milestone of more than 850,000 cumulative hours without a lost-time injury (LTI).

Taiwan and Paraguay Sign 3 Cooperation Agreements to Deepen Cooperation in Justice, Cybersecurity and AI Infrastructure
Following a military welcome ceremony hosted by President Ching-Te Lai on the morning of the 8th for President Santiago Peña Palacios of the Republic of Paraguay, President Lai and Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao held bilateral talks with President Peña at the Presidential Office. The leaders also jointly witnessed the signing of 3 cooperation agreements: the Taiwan–Paraguay Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, an MOU on Cybersecurity Cooperation, and an MOU on the Paraguay–Taiwan Sovereign AI and Computing Infrastructure Investment Project.
